I took the GVR4 to work today and on the way home I took the Palisades Pkwy. off the GWB. Right after I get on I notice a silver 1996'ish Civic hatch with those silly easter egg holes in the back bumper. I didn't really work at getting up to him since he was going around 70 and I don't bother chasing down ricers anymore. After a few miles I caught up to him and followed for probably 6 or 7 miles, not riding his ass but just cruising along behind. It had the full bunch of nonsense, fart can, vented bumper, tow loop on the back, and a silly lip around the bottom. Just before we got to 287/87 we were going up a hill and the cars in front were going slow in the left lane so I grabbed third and passed him as well as several other cars. I guess that angered his VTEC and he began to chase me down after we passed 287/87. He tailgated me for a minute or two (like a typical rice boy) but before he completely got bumper to bumper with me I saw a cute little front mount on it so I'm guessing it was turbo'ed. Then he decided to try to pass me on the right so I down shifted to third, he put a fender in front of me, my turbo finally spooled, and I passed him like he wasn't even trying. A few miles up he tried once more only to fall to the family sedan again. I wonder what he was thinking while he was looking at my "baby on board" sign in the back window? :lol: He cut a few people off in order to get in front of me but at that point I was like whatever. That was followed by a nice rip through Harriman State Park on the way home so all in all it was an enjoyable commute home today.
