How many hundred dollar bills are there in a metric ton?

FYI actually a $100 bill weighs about one gram, so ~ $50,000 weighs one pound, and one ton would be ~$100 million.

it has been the only way to pay the iraqi people, previously like none of them had bank accounts so checks are worthless and when they want to hire help, cash is king.

my friend steve is in Baghdad this month, and he said that they hire the iraqi people to do EVERYTHING possible. all his food is prepared by them, cleaned up by iraqi janitors, all the construction is done by them, security, everything.
i'm not sure if they are paid cash but i would probably assume so.
