It all comes down to what you put in it. Phil Almeida ran 14.xx in an all motor VR6 then came in here saying that he'd go 11's the following year just because he was going to turbo it. Almost everyone in here laughed, resut? 11.7@ close to 120mph, that was done on an fmu back in 2002. Brian Kirch had the same setup and ran 9.6 with a bigger turbo and standalone. Dahlback's car should have ran much faster. the trap wasnt even that high, prolly 120 even or so IIRC

oh and food for thought, dahlback has been videotaped, shutting down numerous dynos. (which i dont believe, but apparently on hub dyno's it has shut them down)

and a little exerpt from a vw site: "dahlbacks car hasnt broken any dynos, It just shuts them down.i have a video of it shuting a Dyno Dynamics AWD dyno down. They shut down at 1000WHP and you can see the power curve that it would have kept going."

i highly doubt with the REAL recorded hp of dahlbacks car, reaching upwards of 1000hp, that it cant run 10s or even 9's. obviously his 12sec run was because of something wrong with the car and a trap of 120 is unlikely with 980+whp on tap.

also i have seen videos of dahlbacks gti or w/e the hell that black sex machine is and its pretty clear, from the cars ability to just slide and roast the tires so quickly that it is making far more than 600hp.

and in conclusion, dahlback NEVER commented about the hp level of his car, it was during Eurotuners interview, that when dahlback refused to claim a number, eurotuners guesstimated it would make 1200hp, and this is no surprise coming from eurotuners.

Horsepower is only one element of a car, i assume this uber golf thing just wasent drag racing? I have seen a 180 HP CRX with an amazing suspension setup and driver, whoop a C5 vetts ass on a tight road course. Because there wasent a long straightaway the vettes high HP was usless. It all depends on track with what kinda guns you bring. Another example is a NSX-Type R with 280 HP versus 5 italtin super cars with 500+ Hp on a track. They all lose to the NSX-R.

The uber golf challange consisted of different performance drills. Dalhback's car didn't win it. BillyT, a fellow hardcore vw member such as myself actually finished in front of him with about half of the hp.

Take it for what it's worth, I never said that Dalhback's audi powered Inline 5 cyl 20v mk4 didnt have balls. I'm just trying to inform these people that the car is super over rated.

bro, its not the racing, you said something that has been circulating the net for years about dahlbacks car and the 1200hp. you said he claimed it, compared the car to some 400whp car in various race drills, which has nothing to do with the hp number. At a drag strip, its obvious if dahlbacks car made 980+ he shouldnt have a problem running alot faster than a 400whp car. I was trying to clear up these HP myths which totally shit on dahlbacks machine, which actually has ALOT of power, maybe not the 1200 which was claimed by eurotuner. in no way did i mention the cars performance handling wise. Its the same as saying say a 1000whp mustang lost at a road course to a 400hp fd or something.
